As we unite to remember Fletcher “Flash” Wiley, the Boston Guardsmen want to honor his legacy by raising $1M to support the work of The Dimock Center.
The Dimock Center is a 160-year-old organization on a 9-acre campus in the Roxbury community, where the impact of racism and poverty has contributed to a life expectancy that is 23 years shorter than that of their wealthy neighbors less than 2 miles away.
Dimock provides community-based primary care services with uniquely integrated mental and behavioral health support, inpatient and residential treatment for substance use disorder, a family shelter, and early education and care through its Head Start program.
Flash served as Board Chair from 2010 to 2018. During that period, Flash extended his dynamic personal brand to open doors and create relationships that positioned the organization to be recognized locally and nationally.
His unwavering dedication to Dimock spanned many decades, leaving an indelible impact on our community. Flash was instrumental in shaping Dimock’s vision for the future and played a key role in Building the Road to Recovery campaign, helping expand vital support for those in recovery from addiction.
Even in the face of the pandemic, he took action, co-founding Dimock’s COVID-19 Vaccine Street Team alongside his beloved wife, Bennie, to ensure access to life-saving care.
Flash’s leadership, passion, and generosity have strengthened Dimock in countless ways. In honor of his remarkable legacy, the Boston Guardsmen invite you to join us in support of The Dimock Center, continuing the work he held so close to his heart.
