Pediatric Services

portal

The Dimock Center’s integrated Pediatric Clinic is committed to providing both quality care and maximum access to the children and families of our community. We recognize each child not just as a patient, but as a person; an individual who has and will continue to have complex needs as he or she grows.  Our comprehensive team approach to Pediatrics offers these children the best care in all aspects of their health – from behavioral health, to family support services, to specialized care, including dental and optical services.  Our goal is to help each child grow within their family and within their community to be his or her best, healthiest self.

We call this ‘whole person health’.  It is Pediatric care that thinks about all of the elements that affect a child’s life and well being. The approach is powered by a caring team of doctors, nurses and staff across The Dimock Center who meet and communicate on each individual patient.  Together they work across our Health Center, Behavioral Health and Child and Family programs to facilitate proactive, responsive care from every aspect of our organization.

What’s Different at Dimock

Here, the Pediatric Primary Care Clinic shares space with our Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinic.  This joint location maximizes our ability to give the children in our care the easiest access to the services they require most.  Our doctors and staff are constantly interacting, able to closely monitor individual cases and move quickly to make changes to curriculums or provide further resources for their families.

We work to alleviate the ‘red tape’ that so often delays essential treatments or services children need. Doctors and nurse practitioners can offer easy referrals to on-campus Eye Care, Dental Care and health screenings as well as Head Start and Early Intervention services, nutrition counseling and social skills groups.

This level of care is innovative within community health clinics, and serves area families with a strength of specialized attention that is nearly unparalleled.

Acute, Chronic and Pro-Active Services

Our team is a part of the Beth Israel Deaconess provider organization and credentialed at Children’s Hospital in Boston.  Among the most innovative community health clinics in the country, the respected Dimock Pediatric team of doctors and nurses and nurse practitioners partner with Children’s Hospital to take on medical issues related to obesity and with the Department of Public Health, working to reduce the risk of young children with mental illness.
