We are so grateful to John Hancock for their partnership and are excited to be participants of the 2019 John Hancock MLK Scholar Program in welcoming youths to our campus this summer.
The MLK Scholar program offers meaningful summer work experience and personal development opportunities to 650 Boston teens ages 16-18 at nearly 60 non-profit organizations. Scholars will provide critical capacity support to the non-profits in obtaining their missions, while gaining job readiness skills.
The Scholars will be employed for a paid internship on our Dimock Campus for approximately 20-25 hours a week, supporting various departments and program areas. The scholars will begin their work site assignments on July 8th. In addition, the Scholar will also attend a mandatory workshop series called Leadership Forums, held every Friday at the Agganis Arena through out the summer and complete an online financial literacy course through EVERFI, a platform that helps scholars manage their financial lives and help them achieve future oriented goals.
Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to develop meaningful career skills that you can take with you as you continue building your future.
